Location & Facilities

Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a wooded island abutting the Xugana lagoon, in the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Accommodation

The lodge accommodates just 16 guests in eight large raised reed and thatch chalets.  Each chalet is twin bedded with en-suite facilities, showers, overhead fans and a private deck.   There is an open boma and al fresco dining area facing out over the expanse of pristine water that makes up the permanent Delta. The lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the Ebony and African Mangosteen tree canopy in open sided thatched areas. The swimming pool, located amongst the mature gardens, in the center of the island is a perfect place to relax.

Game Viewing & Activities

Mokoro trips in dugout canoes, combined with walking, to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari. Motor boat excursions through the reeded waterways are also enjoyed here.  Xugana is a true "water land" paradise with no vehicles.  Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the lodge.

Your stay at Xugana Island Lodge is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, all local brand drinks, scheduled safari activities, park entrance fees and laundry.
