General description: 
Xugana Lagoon is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta and Xugana Island Lodge takes full advantage of this location. The permanent Delta is a world of crystal clear waterways winding through vast reed and papyrus beds, tranquil lagoons and wooded islands. Xugana Island Lodge is in a perfect location to explore the magnificent wildlife that inhabits the Okavango Delta.
Facilities: 
Meals at Xugana Island Lodge are served in an open boma or an al fresco dining area which overlooks the blue waters and tranquility of Xugana Lagoon. The Xugana lounge, bar and dining areas are open sided thatched structures and are located under an Ebony and African Mangosteen tree canopy. The swimming pool, located amongst the mature gardens in the center of the island, is a perfect place to relax during the midday heat. Generator power (AC 220V) is available during the day and evening. 12-volt DC lighting is supplied for night time use, after the generator has been switched off.
Accommodation: 
Xugana Island Lodge has eight large reed and thatch chalets, accommodating a maximum of sixteen guests. The recently refurbished chalets are raised on teak platforms and overlook the scenic Xugana Lagoon. Chalets have twin beds, en-suite facilities, walk in showers, overhead fans and a private deck.
Game viewing and activities: 
A choice of water based activities is offered at Xugana Island Lodge. Enjoy tranquil mokoro trips in eco-friendly dugout canoes, combined with wilderness walks on surrounding islands in the concession. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding and fishing for bream and tiger fish are offered as activities at the lodge. All activities are conducted by experienced naturalist guides, who are very knowledgeable and passionate about this unique area.
Children Policy: 
No children under 16 years are accepted at Xugana Island Lodge.
