General description: 
Seba Camp is situated in an ancient riverine forest with majestic hardwood trees and overlooks a perennial lagoon with prolific birdlife and resident pods of hippo.  Seba Camp has been constructed as a family-friendly camp and it is also the base of a fascinating elephant research project.  Seba, meaning ‘whisper,’ is named after one of Abu Camp’s released elephants. As a baby, Seba starred in the Walt Disney movie, Whispers, that was filmed in the area.
Facilities: 
The main area consists of two open-sided wooden structures, one of which houses the dining room, and the other contains the lounge area.  Both buildings are decorated with traditional Botswana basketwork and other local artifacts. A small library is set in the lounge area. In front of the dining area, there is a small, well-stocked bar andin the central area the camp fire, which burns in the evening. A decked area to the rear of the camp houses a small swimming pool with sun-loungers and umbrellas. Electricity is provided by the use of a generator and inverter/battery system.
Accommodation: 
Seba Camp has five elevated tents, set in secluded positions shaded by magnificent old trees. Each en-suite tent has its own private wooden deck with views over the lagoon and flood plains. The tents are beautiful and individually decorated with a theme representing different Botswana tribes.   The family tent has two bedrooms, both en suite, and is interlinked by a passageway. The family unit has a plunge pool, tree house and sandpit with ample space for relaxation on the outside deck.
Game viewing and activities: 
A number of elephants from Abu Camp that were released back into the wild have formed their own herd. The interaction between these and the wild herds in the area forms the basis for elephant research being done in the area with Bristol University. Guests can observe the researchers at work, often in close proximity to the elephant herds. Guides are always happy to drive visitors to see a released elephant and its wild companions when they are in the vicinity of the camp. Day and night game viewing in open vehicles is available.  This area is rich in game - elephant, giraffe, buffalo, impala, tsessebe, lechwe, reed buck and warthog. Predators include lion, leopard and cheetah that prey on the herds of plains game. More than 380 species of birds are found in the region. During winter, with increased high water levels, Seba is transformed into a water camp, with water-based activities taking precedence, such as mokoro, motorboat excursions and fishing, as well as walks and the usual game drives. Guided nature walks around camp for children can be arranged. There is also a children's menu available, and babysitting can be arranged on request. Children's packs are also handed out and include: puzzle books, colouring-in books, pencils and a magnifying glass. The family tent has a sandpit and toy-box.
