General description:
Savute Safari Lodge offers an exclusive safari experience in the renowned Savute area of Chobe National Park. Part of a dynamic eco system that is renowned for its concentration of elephant and large lion prides, Savute Safari Lodge offers guests a combination of luxury and comfort with a classic wilderness experience.
Facilities:
The main lodge area houses the lounge, library and cocktail bar in a beautiful thatch and timber building.There is a large viewing deck, ideally situated for watching game at the water hole. The viewing deck is utilized for brunch and dinner. A swimming pool, on a raised wooden teak deck, overlooks the channel.
Generator power (AC 220V) is available during the day and evening. Tents are equipped with a 220-volt AC plug for hairdryers and invert 12-volt DC lighting to be used at night once the generator has been switched off.
Accommodation:
Savute Safari Lodge has twelve luxury wood, thatch and glass suites sleeping a total of 24 guests. The suites have been elegantly furnished in neutral tones to compliment the natural environment. All suites have large private decks, a combined bedroom / lounge area and en-suite facilities. The suites’ signature expansive glass sliding doors and viewing decks were inspired by the diverse panorama of the Savute area.
Game viewing and activities:
Activities at Savute Safari Lodge concentrate on game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Savute is famous for its lion prides. During the summer months, when there is great movement of zebra herds across the Savute Marsh, lion prides are particularly active in this area.
A visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills is offered from the lodge.
Children Policy:
No children under 12 years are accepted at Savute Safari Lodge. There are no child care / babysitting facilities or services offered at Savute Safari Lodge. Children aged 16 years (inclusive) and younger to share with a parent at all times. Children must be under the care of their parents at all times.
