General description:

Maun Lodge is situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River. It is located only 4km from Maun International Airport and 2.5km from the village center.

Facilities:

Maun Lodge boasts a conference room which seats 120 delegates, complimented by two smaller meeting rooms, seating up to 40 people. Secretarial services and Internet access are available at Maun Lodge. An A la Carte restaurant offers a full menu with a range of daily chef’s specials. The Boma, an open air traditional bar and restaurant, offers local dishes including barbeques and a light menu. The Pygmy Goose Bar is an ideal rendezvous spot and offers a range of daily chef’s specials together with international and traditional cuisine. The lodge has a swimming pool and on site parking. Tennis and squash facilities are available at the nearby local sports club. Maun Lodge has continuous 220V AC power.

Accommodation:

Maun Lodge has in 2010 expanded and now has accommodation in 80 rooms, all air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, a limited bouquet of satellite television, tea and coffee facilities, room service and laundry. Deluxe riverfront suites, all with private verandahs, are en-suite and fully air- conditioned. The suites boast a lounge area, double bed, full bouquet of satellite television, bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities, room service and laundry facilities. The presidential suite has a king size bed and includes a fully stocked bar. Twelve thatched chalets offer excellent value for money. The chalets are all en-suite, fully air- conditioned and have tea and coffee facilities and local television.

Game viewing and activities:

Tours and safaris into the Okavango Delta can be arranged for guests from Maun Lodge. Cultural village tours, horse riding, a visit to a crocodile farm, helicopter flips and scenic flights can also be arranged from the lodge.
