General description:
Kwetsani Camp overlooks a large floodplain and is built into a deep thicket of mangosteen, fig and palm trees. Accommodation is in tree houses which are raised three metres off the ground on stilts and linked by wooden walkways. Kwetsani offers superb land and water activities - with much of the focus depending on the water levels from the region's annual flood.
Facilities:
The main area boasts a very large open deck looking out over a scenic flood-plain. A splash pool with sun loungers and umbrellas is situated on a wooden deck which overlooks the enormous floodplain dotted with lechwe and wildebeest. There is also a small curio shop. The lodge at Kwetsani is slightly raised and constructed integrating existing trees into the design. The lounge area offers comfortable leather sofas and armchairs and a small library. The well-stocked bar encompasses a jackalberry tree and guests are encouraged to help themselves to drinks. At night, candles and lanterns transform the lodge into a golden wonderland. Dinner is often served on the wooden deck under the stars and afterwards guests are invited to enjoy coffee and nightcaps around the cozy campfire.
Kwetsani Camp has 220v generator powered electricity.
Accommodation:
The five spacious "tree-house" chalets are built under thatched roofs and have canvas and pole walls. The windows are large and made from gauze and the chalets are fronted by glass French windows which lead onto the private balconies and allow great views over the surrounding wilderness. En-suite facilities under thatch include a shower, flush toilet and basin, with an additional outdoor shower. The rooms have an open, airy feel about them. Each room has a safe, mosquito net and fan for guest’s convenience.
Game viewing and activities:
Kwetsani offers excellent land and water activities dependent on annual flood levels. Activities include mokoro trips, walking on palm-fringed islands and day and night game drives. Lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, tsessebe and red lechwe are among the major game attractions at Kwetsani, while hippo, sitatunga antelope and crocodile reside in the deeper permanent lily-filled lagoons of the area. Good concentrations of elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and all the plains game are also seen. Nocturnal animals such as porcupine, aardwolf, serval, large spotted genet and lesser bushbaby can be observed on the night drives. At the height of the Okavango's annual floods, boats are used to get around the area and also to transfer to the islands where the game viewing vehicles are located. There are two platform hides in the concession which can be used for ‘sleep-outs’ for adventurous guests.

Children over the age of 8 years are welcome at Kwetsani Camp.
