General description:
The environments found near Kwara are large lagoon channels lined by papyrus, shallow floodplains, mopane woodlands and dry, open scrub. Kwara shares a common boundary with the Moremi Game Reserve.  Guests can enjoy a diverse wildlife experience all year-round, but the focus is definitely on the water. Gliding along in silence of a mokoro dug out canoe through crystal-clear waters or visiting the famous Godikwe lagoon are highlights at Kwara Camp.
Facilities:
The main thatched lodge at Kwara Camp boasts a curio shop, comfortable lounge and bar. This area is slightly raised and allows great views over the shallow lagoon. Guests can relax here and keep an eye out for the animals which are attracted to the water. There is selection of natural history books and a well-stocked bar. Adjacent to the lounge is a large dining hall which is open-sided and also has views over the lagoon. There is a plunge pool set on a decked area where guests can relax on sun-loungers. Between the lodge and the lagoon is the boma where a fire is lit in the early mornings and evenings. This is a magical spot to enjoy a drink after supper, and listen to the sounds of the African night. Kwara Camp has generator power.
Accommodation:
Kwara consists of eight luxury safari-style tents which are built on raised teak decks, overlooking a vast floodplain.  Each tent has its own viewing deck, private en suite facilities including hot and cold running showers and flush toilets. The honeymoon suite has its own special bathroom with antique ball and claw bath.
Game viewing and activities:
Guests will experience a diverse wildlife experience all year round at Kwara Camp. Glide through the Delta waterways in a mokoro, enjoy bird watching, fishing, walking on one of the many islands, or head out on a spectacular game drive. The Kwara concession is home to lechwe, sitatunga, reedbuck, bushbuck, hippo, crocodiles, elephant, buffalo, sable, roan, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala and tsessebe. Lion, hyena, wild dog, leopard and cheetah are also regularly seen in this part of the Okavango Delta. Kwara Camp offers boat trips, some on a custom built double-decker boat giving great views over the papyrus. Guests can visit the renowned heronry at Godikwe Lagoon, which is at its best September to March, where guests will be surrounded by thousands of herons, storks and other nesting birds. This boat trip offers superb opportunities for photography, as approaching the heronry by boat allows guests to get very close up - without scaring the birds away.
Children Policy:
Children 8 - 12 years permitted provided they are on a private vehicle or on a family safari. Children younger than 8 years old are permitted, as above, but only during the green season (Nov - June).
