General description: 
Chobe Under Canvas exclusive tented safari camp is set up on or very close to the Chobe River. &Beyond has secured a number of prime sites in Chobe National Park for the sole use of their under canvas concept, these exclusive tented safari camps consists of just six carefully positioned luxury tented suites. 
Facilities: 
The central area comprises of comfortable and spacious tents used for dining and meeting for pre-dinner drinks. During the day the guests can spend time between safari game drives relaxing with an ice-cold beer or cool drink, watching some of the hundreds of different species of birds which can be seen in the Chobe National Park. Delicious Pan-African meals and traditional bush dinners are served under softly lit canvas canopies or out in the bush away from the camp under the stars of the African night sky. Chobe Under Canvas has 12volt power in vehicles and battery-powered lamps in tents.  
Accommodation: 
Each luxury safari tent boasts a double bed, en-suite bathroom with separate toilet and an al-fresco bucket shower with hot water delivered on request. Each tent has a personal butler service making this a veritable concept in luxury tented safari camps. This approach is in the tradition of the true safaris of old and it is a rare privilege to experience the likes of it in this day and age, this extraordinary safari is the essence of a journey to Africa. With the simplicity of luxury camping and the relaxing solitude of the wilderness, this encounter will bestow on the guest a peace and fulfilment as well as captivating memories of an African safari. A maximum of twelve guests in camp.  
Game viewing and activities: 
With a maximum of six guests per vehicle morning and afternoon safari games drives in a semi-open 4x4 vehicle will reveal the variety of Chobe’s vegetation and geological features, offering extreme contrasts and a fantastic cross section of wildlife. The vehicles are equipped with charge points for digital cameras and video recorders so guests will not miss out recording the wild dogs, lions and other predators that roam this vast area. A boat cruise along the Chobe River is a breathtaking event with the opportunity to watch Africa’s wildlife, especially elephant and buffalo from close quarters drinking at the water’s edge. Where possible, guided walking safaris are offeredto guests.  
Children Policy: 
Children are welcome; however, Chobe Under Canvas is regrettably not suitable for children younger than 12 years. Children under 12 yrs will only be accommodated if full camp is booked.
