General description: 
Chilwero, meaning a “place of high view”, accurately describes this exquisite lodge. The lodge sits above the Chobe River and offers unparalleled panoramic views of the islands and flood plains that stretch into Namibia. Guests at Chobe Chilwero will enjoy incredible wildlife sightings, elegant accommodations, silver service, gourmet meals and fine wines.
Facilities: 
The main lodge at Chobe Chilwero offers spacious public areas including a lounge and dining room – both of which are linked to dramatic viewing decks. The food is a fusion of Western and African cuisine created to a high gourmet standard and all accompanied by vintage wines from the cellar. High tea is often served on the lawn under the shade of the trees. The well-stocked wine cellar is temperature controlled and houses a large variety of the finest South African and European wines. Chobe Chilwero also boasts a swimming pool, library, curio and an e-communications centre. Chobe Chilwero’s new full service spa is the first on the Botswana safari circuit. Authentic African chic design integrates with nature in the tranquil spa. Features include an indoor spa bath, Vichy showers, hydrotherapy, plunge pool, relaxation area and private treatment rooms - one of which is elevated in the treetops. Chobe Chilwero has continuous 220V AC power.
Accommodation: 
All fifteen guest cottages have been individually designed to fit in with the Chobe topography and vegetation. Each cottage is finished with mosaic floors, traditional fabrics and fitted with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Outside there is a shower, seating area and hammock set within a private secluded garden. The bathrooms are luxurious with a separate shower and beautiful Victorian style baths - the perfect place to relax after a busy day game viewing in the Chobe National Park.
Game viewing and activities: 
Game activities at Chobe Chilwero are scheduled according to the changing habits of the game. Guided game drives in open 4x4 vehicles bring guests to Africa's largest concentration of elephants. Hippos, buffalos, puku, antelopes, lions and other animals that gather on the Chobe River's banks may also be viewed on the game drives. Enjoy water safaris on the Chobe River in specially adapted motorboats. Sundowner cruises are particularly spectacular on the Chobe River. The Chobe River flows into the Zambezi and both rivers are known for their excellent fishing with more than 90 species of fish in the waters. Fishing excursions are also available, at an additional cost. Although located in Botswana, Chobe Chilwero is easily accessed from Zambia and the world famous Victoria Falls. Guests can enjoy a day trip to visit Victoria Falls if desired, at an additional cost.
Children Policy: 
Chobe Chilwero accepts children of all ages. Children 5 years and under are not allowed on activities unless sole vehicle use is requested and is still subject to management discretion.
