Day: 1 – 3
On your arrival into Maun Airport you will be met and welcomed by a representative from The Booking Company, who will welcome you and who will assist you with your connection onto light aircraft for your flight to Vumbura Plains Camp, where you will stay for 3 nights.

Vumbura Plains offers an excellent combination of water and land activities. Vumbura Plains is situated in the northern Okavango Delta and boasts a wonderful variety of habitats and a great diversity of wildlife. Vumbura Plains camp overlooks a vast floodplain and all the luxury rooms are raised off the ground on wooden platforms with walkways connecting them to the main living areas. Each room has a large, spectacular bedroom, a lounge, a “sala” and en-suite facilities with an outdoor shower under the stars. Each room has its own plunge pool.

Open 4×4 Land Rovers allow close proximity to animals in the savannah and forested areas. The Vumbura area is possibly the only area in the Okavango where one can see Red Lechwe and Sable antelope on the same game drive. Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Cheetah and Buffalo, and all the plains animals are seen in this area and therefore affords an excellent all-round wildlife experience in a remote and private part of the Okavango.
Birding is great with large varieties and quantities. Walks, mekoro’s and boating give you the opportunity to enjoy Africa from a different perspective. Night drives are possible nearly all year, but may be restricted for a few months if there are extremely high flood levels.

Walking safaris are a must for anyone – getting close to nature with a knowledgeable guide should not be missed. The mekoro safaris are also excellent as well as motor boating through the Delta’s lagoons and channels. For those who enjoy fishing, Vumbura is one of the Delta’s best areas to catch Tiger Fish, Bream and Tilapia.

Day: 4 & 5
After an early morning activity and breakfast, you will connect with light aircraft for your flight to Linyanti , where you will stay at Kings Pool Camp for 2 nights. The camp overlooks the Kings Pool Lagoon and the Linyanti River and is well-known for elephants.

Kings Pool has nine tented rooms with well appointed, private bathrooms. Each room is built on a raised deck with wonderful views onto the Kings Pool Lagoon and its wildlife. The tents have been designed to ensure that each guest is totally comfortable and private. Each tent has its own pool and sala.
Kings Pool offers game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, night drives and walks. Walks are only undertaken during the summer months when the elephant densities are not too high. There is an underground hide looking onto a permanent water-hole near the camp and you can watch game safely and close-up. This hide provides some amazing views of the wildlife, especially elephants which regularly frequent this water hole to drink and bathe. The camp also has a double-decker pontoon boat which cruises the Linyanti River, offering wonderful opportunities to view and photograph game and birds from the water. There are also a number of great above-ground hides in the area where you can view wildlife.

Day: 6
After an early morning activity and breakfast, you will connect with light aircraft for your flight to Maun , for your onward connections.
