Intimate Savuti Getaway

Upon your arrival into Maun Airport you will be met and welcomed by a representative from The Booking Company, who will assist you with your connection onto light aircraft to Savuti Camp.

 

Savuti Camp is situated in the Linyanti Reserve along the Savuti Channel in northern Botswana. Savuti Camp is an intimate camp providing accommodation in 7 walk-in tented rooms with en-suite facilities. Each room is raised off the ground on wooden decks.

The camp has a thatched dining area, bar and plunge pool, all on raised wooden decks. There is also a curio shop and a boma area.

 

 There is a waterhole close to camp and this attracts large numbers of animals that guests can view from the camp.    The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve offers one of Africa’s most exhilarating wildlife experiences. The area covers 125,000 hectares of wildlife wilderness situated between the Okavango and Chobe regions. There are only 26 rooms in 3 small camps that are allowed to access the game drive areas of this reserve.

 

Activities include game drives in open 4×4 Land Rovers, night drives and walks with an armed guide. Wildlife in the area includes all of Botswana’s big animals and is one of the best areas in the country to see predators – Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dog.

The Chobe/ Linyanti area is renowned for its dense Elephant population and for some of the best Elephant viewing anywhere in Africa. As the camp’s water-hole will be the only supply of water for a large area, one of the highlights of Savuti Camp is the fantastic wildlife viewing from the camp and from various hides in the area. Savuti Camp has constructed a “woodpile hide” directly adjacent to the water hole which a fabulous for viewing and photographing the animals that come to visit. The hide is made with incredibly heavy leadwood trees that are even too heavy for elephants to budge, so it is quite safe inside the hide.

 

After an early morning activity and breakfast, you will connect with light aircraft for your flight to Maun, in time for your onward connection
