Authentic Mobile Safari - TBCW-031

To experience the real wilderness of Botswana on a mobile camping safari, without losing the comfort of a camp bed with linen and the convenience of an en-suite bathroom, then this is the perfect concept for you. Exclusive campsites give the feeling of seclusion in the vast, untamed wilderness. Relax in camp with a sundowner while the crew prepare and serve delicious ‘bush cuisine’ dinners, served on a candlelit table beneath a canopy of stars. Thereafter, retire to your comfortable and spacious en-suite dome tent for a peaceful night’s sleep in preparation for the next days early morning game drive – and the chance of sighting some of the nocturnal animals whose calls were heard during the night. Game drives and excursions are led by your experienced and informative guide in vehicles specially adapted to the conditions of the safari.
Our 10 Day Authentic Safari (8 nights comfort mobile safari with 1 night hotel accommodation) is a Comfort Mobile Safari in secluded, exclusive bush camps situated in the famous Botswana Reserves and National Parks.
 
Itinerary
 
Day 1:
On arrival in Maun, you will be welcomed at Maun airport by a representative from The Booking Company and Safari guide and taken to a local restaurant for a light lunch and then transferred to our camp near Maun. The first evening in the African bush is spent relaxing around the campfire under the bright stars of the southern hemisphere.

Day 2 & 3
The morning starts with a visit to a Cultural Village in the Sankuyo area where you will be shown the lifestyles & tradition of the Bayei tribe.
The next day the channels and waterways of the Okavango Delta are explored on a morning mokoro excursion, with lunch being enjoyed either back at camp or at a shady stop in the wilderness. A late afternoon game drive and sundowners show the splendours of an African sunset. Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)
 
Day 4 & 5
After breakfast, you will move camp to the Khwai flood plains. From where you will continue to explore the pristine wilderness of Moremi Game Reserve on your early morning and afternoon Game drives. Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)
 
Day 6, 7 & 8
Continuing overland through the National Parks you will visit the Savute Marsh and Savute channel, famous for its abundance of large predators. This amazing area and its waterholes are explored during our early morning and late afternoon game drives with your guide. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets, with the largest elephant population in Africa living in the region. While here, you may witness huge herds of elephant during your game drives and an unforgettable game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)
Day 9
Your safari ends at Livingstone / Victoria Falls, without a doubt one of the greatest and most unforgettable spectacles in Africa. Spend this time at your own leisure and enjoy the many optional activities on offer here (at own expense). Accommodation will be at The Waterfront or similar accommodation. (Breakfast only)
 
Day 10:
After breakfast you will check out of the hotel for your onward travel arrangement.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON A COMFORT SAFARI
(Exclusive camping sites and en-suite bathroom)
A safari crew pre-erects the comfortable camp. A professional safari guide conducts early morning and late afternoon game drives. A Chef and assistant take care of the meals.

If you are not able to travel on the above dates but want to participate on the Safari, please give us your ideal dates so that we can check availability and advice. Should you want to add extra destinations at the end or before the Safari please advise so that we can arrange the additional safari for you.
Luggage restriction is 20Kg including hand luggage packed in soft sided bags with no wheels or hard base or sides, this mainly for easy packing on the small luggage compartments on the light charter aircrafts as well for easy storage while on your mobile safari.
