Day 1 & 2
Today on your arrival into Maun Airport, you will be met and welcomed by a representative from The Booking Company, who will welcome and assist you with your connection onto a light charter flight to take you to Leroo La Tau where you stay for 2 nights.
Leroo La-Tau is built on a 25m high cliff on the Boteti River, on the Western Boundary of Makgadikgadi National Park, Leroo La Tau is a wood, reed and thatch structure, with the main lodge overlooking a rolling lawn disappearing over high cliffs and into the Boteti River Bed. The Boteti River last flowed in 1993 and with the abundance of the flood water the Okavango Delta has experienced this year (2009), the water has finally reached Boteti and has just passed Leroo La Tau. Due to the long dry spells the Boteti area get, after the rainy season this area explodes with life as wildlife congregate around precious water holes.
Leroo La Tau accommodates 24 guests in luxurious en-suite chalets, on individual raised wooden platforms with superb views of the riverbed. The main lounge and dining room area’s with their inviting wooden and thatch finishing’s offer guests the opportunity to sit back and relax at the bar and affords striking vistas from large windows.
The lodge’s professional guides take advantage of the early mornings, late afternoons and evenings to do game drives and walks within the vicinity. As there are no manmade boundaries separating the lodge from the National Park, game viewing is rewarding. Spot lit night drives offer a surreal perspective that is not easily emulated anywhere else.
Nxai Pan National Park and the famed Baine’s Baobabs are situated in the northern reaches of the Makgadikgadi system. These areas make for exciting day trips from Leroo La Tau.
The spectacular annual Zebra and Wildebeest migration occurs in this region. At this time, whilst exploring the lodge surrounds, guests will witness the interaction of an extraordinary number of animals – including Zebra, Wildebeest, antelope and elephant, along with the predators that follow them. The bird life is prolific in this area too.
Day 3 & 4
Early this morning after your activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you will connect on to a light charter flight to Xugana Island Lodge where you will stay for 2 nights.
Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a wooded island abutting the Xugana lagoon, in the heart of the Okavango Delta.
The lodge accommodates 16 guests in 8 large raised reed and thatch chalets. Each chalet is twin bedded with en-suite facilities, showers, overhead fans and a private deck. There is an open boma and al fresco dining area facing out over the expanse of pristine water that makes up the permanent Delta. The lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the Ebony and African Mangosteen tree canopy in open sided thatched areas. The swimming pool, located amongst the mature gardens, in the centre of the island is a perfect place to relax.
Mokoro trips in dugout canoes, combined with walking, to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari. Motor boat excursions through the reeded waterways are also enjoyed here. Xugana is a true "water land" paradise with no vehicles. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the lodge.

The lodge also has a swimming pool on a raised wooden teak deck overlooking the channel, affording guests the opportunity to watch game while swimming! The dining room is housed in a separate building doubling up as a conference room that can seat up to twenty delegates.
