Day 1 & 2
Today on your arrival into Maun Airport, you will be met and welcomed by a representative from The Booking Company, who will welcome and assist with your connection onto a light charter flight to take you to Deception Valley Lodge where you will stay for 2 nights.
 
Deception Valley Lodge provides a unique experience for those who wish to soak up the true atmosphere of the bush in one of Africa`s remote semi-desert areas where Bushmen once roamed. The Bushman experience is the highlight at this safari lodge.

Deception Valley Lodge accommodates up to ten people in five twin-bedded rooms. The lodge is private and restful. Attention has been given to every detail ensuring for a completely different experience, in an arid Kalahari bush land stretching for miles. Each unit stands separately, on stilts connected with the main lodge by wooden walkways. Each unit has an en-suite Victorian-style bathroom, an outside shower and a private spacious lounge. All units are fitted with ceiling fans and mosquito nets. The main complex boasts a dining room, lounge and bar area decorated in warm Kalahari colours. From the deck you can view activities at the nearby water hole.

Games drives with open 4 x 4 vehicles; Night drives to explore the nocturnal species; Bird watching - over 200 species, from the deck at the main lodge or in a hide at one of the water holes; Guided walks with the Bushmen to explore their culture, survival and hunting skills and their extraordinary knowledge of the veld and animal life.
 
Day 3 & 4
Early this morning after your activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you will connect on to a light charter flight to Xakanaxa Camp where you will stay for 2 nights.
 
Xakanaxa Camp is set in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon and offers guests a year-round combination of land and water activities. The camp accommodates 24 guests, each tent tastefully furnished with twin or double beds and en-suite facilities with shower and hand-basin. Tents are situated at the water’s edge with private viewing decks and comfortable loungers looking onto the reeded fringes of the swamp. The dining room, lounge, fire deck and plunge pool are all slightly raised on wooden platforms with views over the lagoon.
 
Game drives in this sector of Moremi travel through Mophane forests and across lush savannah. Birding in the area is excellent, especially in the spring and summer months. To the north are the world famous heronries of Gudigwa and Gobega, which attract large numbers of breeding storks and herons. All the Big 5 can be seen in the area. Powerboat sundowner trips and traditional mokoro excursions are also available. Pandani's: Within the camp is a private 8-bedded unit with its own private elevated wood and thatch lounge, sala, dining room and pool. This unit may be requested for groups.
 
Day 5 & 6
This morning after your morning activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you connect on to a light charter flight to Jacana Camp where you will stay for 2 nights.
 
Jacana Camp is situated about 25 kilometres west of Mombo, outside the Moremi Game Reserve on the Jao flats. Jacana Camp is a truly water-oriented safari camp that offers mokoro and walking safaris all year round. As the floodwaters recede, game drives and night drives in open 4x4 vehicles are available from September to May - water levels depending.
 
Jacana Camp has five meru-style tents. Each tent is built on a wooden deck overlooking the floodplains and has an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and shower. The bathroom is enclosed, but roofless. The main dining area is on an elevated wooden deck between two magnificent sycamore fig trees and surrounded by dense wild date palms. Downstairs, there is a cosy pub and lounge, with an area to sit around an open fire under the stars.

From September to May, as the floodwaters recede, game drives and night drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles are available - depending on water levels. The camp is set in one of the most densely populated wetland areas for Sitatunga and Red Lechwe - but game concentrations depend on water flow and volume and change from season to season. Jacana Camp is a truly water-oriented camp and offers mokoro and walking safaris all year round.
 
Day 7
Today after your morning activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you connect on to a light charter flight to Maun where you will continue with the rest of your travel arrangements.
